The map seems to demonstrate that the more unsuitable the conditions of the land for agriculture, the less likely you are to be offered food, but there's clearly a few exceptions to this and

It might be worth first interrogating the accuracy of the map. Whenever it gets posted there are usually a lot of people confused as hell by it but usually a few people who agree with it. But

I mean its generalising large areas that aren't exactly homogeneous so I don't doubt there are plenty of people living in these areas with difference experiences, but it does seem to be a cus
