Color-Lock Crafting Thread: Resists Fading & Bleeding from Leather Treatments.
The user's bright yellow Ritza Tiger thread faded dramatically after using saddle soap on a leather project. This highlights a need for threads that truly hold their color when exposed to common chemicals used in leatherwork and other crafts, like dyes, conditioners, and cleaners. A product line of high-quality, vibrant threads, specifically designed and tested to be highly colorfast against a defined list of common crafting chemicals, would be very appealing.
This would give crafters the confidence to use bold and diverse colors in their projects without worrying about ruining their work during finishing or cleaning processes. It would lead to higher quality finished goods, less material waste, and greater customer satisfaction.
