Compact Shower Head Adapter for Extreme Angles in Tight Spaces.

The user describes a problem: "the shower head is so close to the wall there’s not enough space to turn the head itself" and hopes for "some kind of attachment or shower head itself that can make like a 90 degree turn downwards." This indicates a need for a solution for shower outlets positioned awkwardly, preventing standard adjustments.

Product Suggestion 1: Ultra-Compact 90-Degree Swivel Elbow Adapter

  • Description: A very short, robust metal adapter (e.g., chrome-plated brass) designed to screw onto a standard shower arm. It features a high-quality swivel joint allowing an attached showerhead to pivot a full 90 degrees downwards with minimal added length or projection from the wall. The key design focus would be on an extremely compact form factor.
  • Expected Benefit: This adapter allows users with shower arms positioned very close to the wall to use their existing or preferred showerhead and angle it correctly for a comfortable shower. It's a simple, cost-effective solution without requiring the replacement of the entire shower arm or major plumbing work.

Product Suggestion 2: Low-Profile Showerhead with Integrated Sharp-Angle Joint

  • Description: A complete showerhead specifically designed with an integrated pivot mechanism very close to its threaded connection point. This design allows the main spray face of the showerhead to tilt to a 90-degree downward angle even when mounted very close to a wall, without the body of the showerhead obstructing the movement. The overall profile of the showerhead is also slim.
  • Expected Benefit: This provides an all-in-one solution for users needing to achieve a sharp downward angle in tight spaces. It offers a streamlined look and ensures compatibility between the joint and the showerhead for optimal performance in constrained shower setups.

Overall Anticipated Benefit for these solutions: Both products address a common frustration in bathrooms with specific plumbing configurations or limited space, enabling users to correctly direct their shower stream for a more comfortable and effective showering experience without undertaking significant plumbing modifications.

I recently replaced a fixed shower head with a hand held one on a bracket, it swivels from side to side and up and down on the bracket. But I agree with the poster who said to fix the bracket

You can also get a diverter valve, or simply unscrew the head and attach a hose to a handle shower head. Then use a suction mount on the proper end of the shower.

You may consider an adjustable rainfall shower arm. It would replace the pipe sticking out the wall with one that can be adjusted to the center of the tub pointing straight down. Rainfall sho

Just get a shower handle. They all allow bending/directing of it when mounted. Anything delta or waterpik around $40-50 will serve you well
