Purchased some, what I hoped would be lm741 opamps from AliExpress. I’m almost certain what i have been delivered are not Lm741 opamps, or I just lucked out with 20 duds. What are others exp

Never order parts from dodgy sources. 741 is crazy common and cheap, just buy it from legitimate sources like digikey. What did you get? Who knows. Could have nothing inside them. Toss them.

BOM for most things have nearly doubled in price in the past few years. The chinese are pumping out fake parts like nobodys buisiness. This is what supply line issues are.

Impossible to tell from outside. Could be empty leadframes that were marked anyways, actual 741 chips that failed QA post-assembly, to LITERALLY ANYTHING somebody found for cheap in Shenzen i
