The top part? I made it so they push into each other flat for longevity and to firmly bind, tied it up good and it's as solid as it can get. Although its not necessary if you can just firmly

Good job, only advice I'd give is to put the cross supports on the table below, gives you a flatter surface.

Looks really good. I tried doing this chair and it was less than satisfactory. My lashings were crap and the chair wanted to lean forwards and the back lifted when I sat on it. I'm going t
