Ergonomic Aftermarket Mod for CRK Zaan Knife Lockbar

Product/Service Opportunity: Enhancing the ergonomics of the Chris Reeve Zaan knife's lockbar after purchase.

Specific Product Suggestion: A "Zaan Comfort Lockbar Mod" – a small, well-fitted cap or sleeve made from a more comfortable material (like polymer, smoothed G10, or a thin, smooth metal piece) that can be easily attached to the Zaan's lockbar disengagement area.

Expected Benefit: This mod would greatly improve the comfort and ergonomics when disengaging the lockbar on the Chris Reeve Zaan, addressing a common complaint ("sharp lockbar") from users of this high-end knife model. It could boost user satisfaction and make the knife more appealing to those who are sensitive to this issue.

Couldn't be happier with the QC Waypoit L. Absolutely awesome knife. Couldn't be more disappointed with the Zaan. Has to be the most overhyped knife I've ever bought.

The ergos are shit compared to my Inkosi and Seb 31. That sharp ass lock bar disengagement is just unexplainable and unacceptable. The thumbstud placement is bad (for me), but that is just pa

I bought my Zaan after my Inkosi and Seb 21, so I know exactly how you are feeling. You will grow to appreciate it more, but as far as ergos, the Inkosi is the best.

I just bought mine week or so ago. I don’t understand the hate for the lock bar. Works just fine for me or maybe my thumb is more calloused. So far I think it’s a great knife for hard use.

I have the Waypoint (small and large), the Drift LCT, and the Nine. They are all flawless knives. I love them. The Drift LCT is probably my favorite, but not by much. I plan to get the Rincon

I’m curious if you have tried other QC knives? I’ve been eyeing the waypoint and Drift L for a while.

Glass blast looks amazing. Can’t argue that

Ughhh…you say such expensive things.

Have you had any other CRKs? The Zaan lockbar disengagement is unusually sharp. I didn't say it was painful. I raise cattle and train horses so I don't have soft hands, there is just no reaso
