Info Resource: The Science of Industrial Coolant Colors

Okay, I've taken a look at the Reddit post and comments.

Product/Service Opportunity: Information Resource

User Need: The title "How 'industrial' music started?!" clearly shows a desire to understand the origins and history of the industrial music genre. The user's comment "Kinda catchy haha!" suggests they're intrigued and curious, which an informational resource could build on. Several comments also mention the connection between actual industrial sounds/environments and music, highlighting a strong interest in this aspect.

Specific Product Suggestion: An information resource (e.g., a well-researched article, a short documentary-style video, or a podcast episode) detailing the history of industrial music. This would cover:

  • The origins of the genre (e.g., late 1970s, UK, influence of Industrial Records).
  • Pioneering bands and artists (e.g., Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, SPK, Einstürzende Neubauten).
  • Key influences (e.g., musique concrète, Krautrock, punk, the sounds of actual industrial environments, avant-garde art movements, writings of figures like William S. Burroughs or J.G. Ballard).
  • Thematic concerns (e.g., post-industrial decay, societal control, transhumanism, taboo subjects, social commentary).
  • Evolution of the sound and its subgenres (e.g., EBM, industrial metal, noise).

Expected Benefit: It would educate interested individuals on the history, influences, key figures, and defining characteristics of the industrial music genre, satisfying their curiosity and potentially introducing them to a rich and influential area of musical and cultural history.

If you ever work in a steel mill, if it's busy enough you can hear Black Sabbath just randomly. All those guys worked factory jobs before becoming musicians, you can hear it in their sound, a
