Modernized Vintage-Style Precision Lawn/Garden Edging Tool
The user stumbled upon an old tool and raves about how well it works: 'It cuts between sidewalks and grass like a dream.' They also wonder if it's still being made: 'Do they even make these now?'. While some comments mention similar tools like Japanese weeders or sod cutters, the user’s positive experience with this specific, possibly less common, vintage design hints at a potential niche. If current tools don’t offer the same precise functionality or ease of use for tasks like edging, there’s an opportunity to develop and market a modern, durable version of this 'vintage' tool. The benefit would be giving gardeners a highly effective tool for tasks that might not be well-handled by common alternatives.

Okay another out of grandpas garage. This is a lawn edger, I’m sure. Do they even make these now? Google lens wasn’t happy.

According to this post it's probably a 'sod cutter'.

He set up a maypole, had a display of country dancing, land tillage under the three-filed system, several plagues and the invention of the horse collar?

Looks like a piece of a knife off a sickle from farm machinery frankenstein by him or a factory mass produced to sell to gardeners

The Thistle Missle for those hard to reach places between the bushes.

It's a weed getter not a edger.

Where I live we have thistle plants that act similar to the "teddy bear cactus" needles in a way. I mean to say each plant has sharp fiberglass like stickers. So fine that the static electric

This is less a "sex toy" per se, and more of a "sex maintenence tool"
For every dirt bike or jetski, you gotta have a lawnmower.

Yeah it’s a Japanese weeder. I ordered one a couple years ago when it popped up on Slick Deals Hot Deals. Haven’t used it yet lol.

Your grandpa was a busy guy. Can't wait to see what else you pull out of his garage.
