Modular, durable off-grid power kits for survival/remote use.

Comments in a hypothetical survival discussion highlight the importance of having the right tools and practical knowledge for self-sufficiency, especially for tasks like processing wood, building shelter, and general repairs. People often mention various hand tools (axes, saws, knives), construction materials (nails), and utility items (cordage), along with a desire for "books" that explain how to use or create things. This points to an opportunity for a product that brings these essential elements together.

A product suggestion is a "Homesteader's Essential Tool & Skill Kit." This kit would include a carefully chosen set of durable, high-quality hand tools (like a felling axe, bow saw or crosscut saw, manual drill, wood chisels, multi-purpose knife, and sharpening tools), a starter supply of versatile hardware (assorted nails, strong cordage), and a set of compact, waterproof field guides. These guides would cover basic construction techniques (shelter building, simple furniture), tool use and maintenance, knot-tying, and essential survival skills (fire starting, water sourcing/purification). This product would cater to the preparedness, off-grid living, homesteading, and sustainable skills education markets.

Expected benefit: It addresses the critical need for tangible resources and guiding knowledge to build, repair, and sustain oneself in environments lacking modern infrastructure. It empowers users with practical self-reliance, appealing to a growing market segment focused on independence, resilience, and hands-on skills.

I think you are better off with wind/hydro than solar. Batteries and panels will degrade heavily, but packing a few motors to build a hydro wheel or wind propeller would be reasonable.

I would take a portable sawmill, chainsaw, shop jointer, thickness planer, and basically any tools I would need to turn trees into lumber. I would also take the tools necessary to craft thing

I think there is no point in taking consumibles like food or fuel with me. So no diesel or diesel generators. That makes solar and batteries the way to go even if I know the batteries will de
