I come from the scale modeling side of this plastic obsession. I can very much concur that the Vallejo Metal Colors are great. They are the easiest to work with, and inexpensive.

I encourage you to not think of paints as a collection, like different bottled hues are entries in a Pokedex to be filled. Mixing paint on the pallet is a valuable skill worth building. Saves

Golden soflat. Pure pigments, nice for vibrant colors and making mixes that don't lose vibrance.
Vallejos metal colors are a nice addition for metalics.

Coming along nicely. You're dabbling with some of my favorites in AK and Pro-acryl. If you want some good metallics, I think Vallejo Metal Color is really good.
