It’s validation that other people see that there’s a problem there that’s worth solving as well. I’d still go for it and see what you can learn from the other company.

Can you make it better? Can you make it cheaper? Can you add value to the product that doesn't already exist? If the product exists and is being monetized, that means there is a market for it

Assume 10%-15% annual churn means 2,000-3,000 of those users will be leaving and be looking to fill a gap that the product didn't provide. Do what you can to understand those pain points. It
