Opportunity for an Instagrammable, Niche Egg-Centric Breakfast Cafe
A real opportunity exists based on the user's observation of a market gap: a town with no dedicated egg breakfast spots. The community feedback transforms this from a simple food stall into a promising, modern business concept.
Product/Service Suggestion: A trendy, egg-focused breakfast café.
Key Features & Strategy:
- Instagrammable Experience: This is crucial.
- Food Presentation: Focus on visually appealing dishes, especially those with gooey egg yolks.
- Aesthetic Decor: Unique, photogenic interior design and ambiance.
- Clever Branding: Use witty egg-related puns in signage, menus, and even the business name (e.g., "Eggsperience").
- Menu Focus: While centered on eggs (omelets, fried, poached, scrambled, breakfast sandwiches/burgers), consider offering complementary items like high-quality coffee with artistic latte shots, fresh juices, and a few unique side dishes.
- Dynamic Pricing Strategy:
- Start with a slightly higher price point (e.g., €4-€5) to test market tolerance and establish a premium feel.
- Introduce promotional days or limited-time offers at lower price points (e.g., €3-€3.5) to attract a wider audience and create buzz.
Expected Benefits:
- Organic Marketing & Brand Building: An Instagrammable concept will generate significant free marketing through customer social media posts, quickly building brand awareness, especially among a younger, trend-conscious demographic.
- First-Mover Advantage: Being the first dedicated egg breakfast spot can establish strong market positioning and customer loyalty before competitors emerge.
- Premium Pricing Justification: The unique experience, quality presentation, and strong branding can support a premium pricing strategy, moving beyond a basic €2.50 offering.
- Achieving Profit Goals: The combination of strong demand (due to the market gap and trendiness), potential for higher margins through premium branding, and reduced marketing costs can help the owner reach their €2000 monthly profit target. The ability to test different price points will allow for revenue optimization.
- Community Hub Potential: A well-designed, appealing spot can become a local favorite, fostering repeat business.

I'd suggest charging high to understand the traffic you get at higher prices, maybe even 4. If you find that is good, keep it there. You then run days where the price drops down to 3.5 or 3 a

Charging 2.5 is not enough. Charge 5. Also, what do you mean by friend? Friends aren’t free labor.

You should do your calculations right including salaries, utilities, rent, marketing and preishables (you most likely will end up throwing away some food like vegetables and bread.

It looks like you've done great planning. Honestly with the rent and utilities being so low, if you have the energy to try it and the contract for the rent is not super long, it should be wor

During the busiest brunch shift I ever worked we were about 1500 eggs in. My boss said “I’m so fucking tired of eggs I will kick the next chicken I see in the pussy.”

If you make the concept Instagrammable (think gooey egg yolks, artsy latte shots, or clever egg puns in your signage), you’ve got free marketing built-in.

Will you sell drinks, too? Often times places will make a small profit on the eggs but a very large profit on the coffee or tea.

Just make sure to make your budget correctly and account for labor cost as if you were hiring people, including taxes and other law requirements.

Have you done any market research in the demand for breakfast places and in particular egg habits of local residents?

You said other places charge 6. You can charger 4/5. Run specials. Also, what will you serve WITH the eggs? Usually toasted bread or veggie?
