Professional Design Critique & Portfolio Review Marketplace
The post is a recurring community thread for design critiques. This highlights a continuous need among designers (UI/UX, graphic, product, etc.) for high-quality, actionable feedback on their portfolios and work. This pain point can be addressed by a SaaS platform that:
- Structured Feedback System: Provides tools for structured critiques, guiding reviewers to give specific and constructive feedback (e.g., on usability, aesthetics, technical execution).
- Expert Marketplace: Curates a network of experienced professional designers who offer paid, in-depth critique sessions or asynchronous reviews.
- Peer Review System: A gamified or credit-based system for peer-to-peer critiques within the community.
- Portfolio Versioning: Allows users to upload different versions of their work and track feedback over time, showcasing their iteration process.
- Critique Management: Tools for submitting work, scheduling reviews, and managing feedback.
Product Form: A web-based platform acting as a marketplace and collaboration tool.
Expected Revenue: Designers, especially students, junior, and mid-level professionals, are constantly looking to improve and stand out. They would pay for access to expert feedback. Revenue could come from a commission on expert reviews (e.g., 10-25% of a $50-$500 review fee) and/or tiered subscriptions for platform access offering advanced features like unlimited submissions, priority reviews, or specific expert access. This could generate substantial MRR, as professional development is a consistent need.
