Specialized SaaS Idea Validation & Pre-Launch Waitlist Platform

Published on 06/01/2025Marketing Opportunities

The poster's specific need to validate a SaaS idea by building a landing page and collecting emails for a waitlist, combined with commenter insights on the importance of social proof ('X users joined') and the potential for stronger validation through pre-selling ('pay now and get 50-80% discount'), highlights a clear SaaS opportunity. A specialized platform tailored for SaaS idea validation and pre-launch audience building could be developed. This product would offer features beyond generic landing page builders, such as integrated A/B testing for value propositions, 'fake door' feature testing, robust waitlist management, easy implementation of social proof elements, and, critically, tools to manage pre-order campaigns with discounted early access and payment integrations. Such a focused SaaS solution could generate expected revenue starting from $140,000-$360,000 ARR with early adoption (200-500 users at an average $60/month subscription), scaling to $700,000-$1.8M ARR as it matures and attracts a larger base of 1,000-2,500 early-stage founders and indie hackers seeking to de-risk their ventures.

I think some form of social proof is needed, for example “X users joined” or maybe even some recognisable logos (like companies you used to build the tool), last one is pretty weird but I saw

Agree, but if you make it like “pay now and get 50-80% discount” if people want it bad enough they will pay. This is a better validation mechanism but also kinda risky

Interesting, thanks for the suggestions. About the paywall stuff though, people even hesitate to pay for enterprise level saas without trying it first, just asking them to pay for an idea wil
