Universal Monitor Remote App for Enhanced Presentation Control

Published on 08/02/2025Marketing Opportunities

The user's desire for a remote for their Samsung monitor, especially for client presentations, highlights a gap in functionality for professional monitor users. While TVs come with remotes, most computer monitors do not, making input switching or basic adjustments inconvenient. A SaaS (or premium app with cloud integration) could provide a 'Universal Monitor Remote App'. This app, potentially connecting via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (for smart monitors), or through a small USB dongle, would allow users to control functions like power, input switching, brightness, and contrast from their phone or tablet. It targets professionals, educators, and streamers who use monitors for client displays or complex setups. Revenue could be a small monthly subscription for compatibility updates, advanced features, or a one-time premium purchase.

Do you know of anything else that can just turn the monitor off/on easily? The button directly on the monitor is not easily accessible.
