I'd be interested in seeing the average mile run time for attorneys. You are probably ahead of the game by being able to finish

Sounds right. My horse ladies and I ride dressage, which is all about type A perfection. Also prohibitively expensive.

If you become a military lawyer, then 100%. We care about lot about how fast you can run for.... reasons. Being able to run a 6 minute mile makes you a better lawyer or something.

Yikes. On the plus side, I have been referred to as "...a character" so that's good.

That’s just the military in general. Run time somehow = leadership in far too many leaders’ minds. “SPC Fuckoff might be a complete moron, but fuck can he RUN. Send his ass to BLC asap.” I do

Anecdotally, attorneys tend to have addictive personalities. I’ve known several who, when they realized they shouldn’t drink anymore, traded one addiction (booze) for another (running).

I dunno, it may be me but the large law firm attorneys I know are usually in pretty good shape. In fact I know a good number who are athletically competitive. I attribute it to just generally

The larger the firm, the larger the VO2 max? I've seen a lot of attorneys have heart attacks before 60. Being sedentary for long hours/high stress ain't a recipe for success

Only if you want to avoid a heart attack after sitting a desk for the next 15 years.
