[OC] One of my happiest moments ever happened today!

So! I am autistic and three of my special interests throughout the years involve Matthew Lillard in some way (FNAF, Scream, & Scooby Doo). So naturally, I adore the guy. I went to Galaxycon Columbus over this weekend to see him since it is close (ish) to where I live. I was crying VERY very hard any time I looked over at him. Everyone around me was being very sweet until it was my turn. Matthew told me he liked my chosen name (Kurt!) and then asked me why I was crying so hard because "he didn't even hurt me." I told him it was because he's very important to me. He kept making jokes and saying nice things to try and make me laugh and smile, and walked me out and away from the crowd of his line. I told him that I had photo ops later in the day with him, and that I'd see him then. He said I wasn't allowed to cry during our photo op and I promised I wouldn't. At the photo op, he remembered my name, and gave me an extra hug even though it was very rushed. He is such a good actor, and genuinely an amazing human being. I've seen so many articles about how Quentin Tarantino trash talked him over the weekend, and so I wanted to counteract that with this little appreciation post! If you haven't seen FNAF 2 yet and want to, it is definitely worth the watch <3

Kate Winslet Says It’s ‘Terrifying’ How Many People Are Using Weight Loss Drugs: ‘Do They Know What They Are Putting in?’

> “It is devastating,” Winslet said. “If a person’s self-esteem is so bound up in how they look, it’s frightening.” > She continued, “And it’s puzzling because I have moments when I think it’s better, when I look at actresses at events dressed how they want, whichever shape. But then so many people are on weight-loss drugs. It’s so varied. Some are making choices to be themselves, others do everything they can to not be themselves.” > “And do they know what they are putting in [their bodies]? The disregard for one’s health is terrifying. It bothers me now more than ever. It is f------ chaos out there,” she added. > The Avatar: Fire and Ash star also shared that she wishes more women accepted the natural aging process instead of opting for injectables like Botox and filler. > “My favorite thing is when your hands get old,” she explained. “That’s life, in your hands. Some of the most beautiful women I know are over 70, and what upsets me is that young women have no concept of what being beautiful actually is.” > “What idea of perfection are people aspiring to?” she asked, before noting that she blames “social media and its effect on mental health.”

Has there ever been an actor who’s trashed a co-star’s performance before a movie came out, but still encouraged folks to go see it?

This would be a PR nightmare which is why I imagine it hasn’t happened on a mainstream level But has there been an actor who was interviewed about an upcoming release and they were talking about how great the film will be, why everyone should go see it, how much they enjoyed working on the piece, but then randomly and out of nowhere just started shitting on a co-star? Like “the film is great but (blank) was horrible. I think everyone will love them film and should go see it as long as they’re able to look past (blank)’s terrible performance

Met Matthew over the weekend!

At GalaxyCon Columbus this past weekend. I'm autistic and was super overwhelmed and excited, so anytime I looked over at him I started crying. He was super sweet and took his time with me. I think it's funny how such a lovely person plays such a terrible character <3

Aj & kylie

Honestly, people need to stop inserting themselves into AJ, Kylie, and Aljur’s personal lives. The actual people involved are obviously in good terms, and that alone should tell everyone that AJ wasn’t the cause of their breakup. What’s tiring is seeing strangers make accusations or act like they know the full story. The whole “AJ shouldn’t have entertained him because he’s married” take is such a simplified, outdated mindset. None of us know the real dynamics of their relationship, their agreements, or what they’ve already resolved privately. At the end of the day, it’s their lives. They’re the ones who lived through it, worked through it, and are clearly at peace with each other. Maybe it’s time the rest of us stop projecting, stop moralizing, and stop pretending we’re part of the situation. Let them handle their own relationships they already have.

Kendrick Lamar said Perth is one of his favourite places in the world

He said it last night at Spilt Milk. The crowd laughed but I don’t think he meant it as a joke. At the same time, I don’t know whether it is genuinely true. He probably only arrived in Perth yesterday morning. He wouldn’t have even had time to go to Karrinyup or anything
