No it's not you, there is a large Microsoft Azure outage, which apparently nprotect uses, and Helldivers isn't loading for some people.

Hey Arrowhead, while you're at it with the patches can you please remove Gameguard from the game?
I haven't been able to launch the game recently because of this intrusive software. Like, why do we even need an anti cheat for a PvE game that one, doesn't work because cheaters aren't getting banned anyway, and two, I \*never\* run into one myself? All it does is hog resources and get in the way of me trying to play your game when it decides that it doesn't want to update on my internet that is reasonably fast. It has to go, really.
Why can't I play helldivers
I clicked retry a bunch but I just said retry again and again and I clicked cancel and it said the error message. What happened and what is wrong, why can't I play helldivers? It never did anything like this before. Can somebody help please.
Microsoft Final Update: GameGuard Will Be Down For Four More Hours
**UPDATE: WE ARE BACK IN EARLY, GET DIVING! SECURE OSHAUNE.** **---------------------------------------------------------** Microsoft's Azure Front Door has crashed, which is the reason GameGuard is not functioning, and which is preventing everyone from joining the game. **As of 3:22 PM Eastern Time, Microsoft estimated it would take four more hours to resolve the issue.** Helldivers 2 uses Azure PlayFab for its server communications, but that service is not affected. As a result, (1) players who are currently logged in can play fully, and (2) if Helldivers 2 did not have GameGuard, it would currently be functional. Throw this on the pile of reasons we don't like nProtect GameGuard.

What the title says! Someone spilled their coffee on something over in Microsoft's offices is all. You haven't been hacked, you haven't been banned, there's no need to panic. Unfortunately, all we can do right now is let them figure out what happened. In the meantime, how are you guys finding the Copper Age drop? Are you excited about Mounts of Mayhem? I am personally, I can't believe we finally have zombie horses in survival! EDIT (3:30 EST): I posted it in the comments as well, but we've got an update from Microsoft. They're aware of the issue and know what caused it. They've got a fix, but it'll take about four hours for it to fully take effect. They'll update in two hours, or sooner if needed. EDIT: It's official! The issue is resolved, and everyone should have full access back to Minecraft by 23:20 UTC, 4:20 PM PST, and 7:20 PM PST.
